How Do You Reset The Task Scheduler?

Posted on 22:20 by Unknown
Most of the latest laptops and computers come without inbuilt Office package nowadays. Some of them would just have a beta testing version installed on them.

During installation process, Microsoft Office 2013 uses the task schedule; faults in this could hinder the installation setup. Any error in the task scheduler could prevent smooth Microsoft Office 2013 installation process. Already scheduled tasks that are remaining could be cleaned up, with the following steps.

Microsoft Support for resetting the task scheduler

For Windows 8 operating system:
  • You need to start the scheduler service first.
  • Swipe in from the right edge of the Windows 8 screen and then proceed to tap Search option. With a mouse pointer, you would need to move to the right hand side-upper corner of Windows 8 screen and bring the pointer down to the Search option.
  • Next, you need to enter the text Command prompt in the search box provided.
  •  Within the list of results displayed, swipe down to right click the option named Command prompt. Now, click or tap the option reading Run as administrator.
  • You would be presented with the Administrator: Command Prompt window and type in the command as net start schedule. Press Enter when done.
  • Then you need to try installing Microsoft Office again. Carryon with the following steps, if Microsoft Office setup fails.
  • Follow similar procedure as discussed above. Open Windows 8 screen and swipe in from the right side edge, and then tap on the Search option in the panel displayed.
  • Now in the search box, type in Schedule Tasks and click or tap the option Settings.
  • You can proceed to click or tap on the option Schedule Tasks within the results listed.
  • Go to Task Scheduler Library >>Microsoft >>Office; click or tap the Office option.
  • The Name column would now have a task by the name Office in the middle window located towards the top portion of the screen.
  • You can proceed to tap and hold or alternatively, right click on Office task option displayed here. Proceed to click or tap on the Delete option now.

Lastly, you should now restart Microsoft Windows operating system and re-install Office 2013 to explore its features. Microsoft Support is available online and there is direct technical assistance open 24/7 to clear all your doubts.
